The cottages at Sodulsholt were spotless and had everything we needed for our self-catering stay. the property owners and staff were friendly and welcoming, offering lots of interesting information about Iceland. Our daughters had a memorable horse riding lesson, and the location was remote but beautiful.
Felt exceptional, no reason to complain.

The room at Sodulsholt Cottages was amazing. It felt cozy and comfortable, like a warm embrace. I loved waking up to the beautiful view outside my window. There was a coffee machine and kettle, so I could enjoy a hot cuppa whenever I wanted.
Personally, I'm not a big fan of karaoke, but I know others might enjoy it.

I loved that the kitchen in the cottage was fully stocked with all the basic cooking ingredients, making it convenient for me to prepare meals. The view from the cottage was absolutely breathtaking and it had such a cozy and relaxing atmosphere. I even had the chance to meet and pet the beautiful Icelandic horses at the nearby stables. The location was also great for exploring the Snaefellsnes Peninsula and the facilities were modern and clean. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely consider returning in the future.
The only minor issues I encountered were having to climb a ladder to access the second bedroom and the shower temperature being a bit tricky to adjust. However, these were just small inconveniences and didn't significantly affect my overall enjoyment of the stay.

I absolutely loved the cozy and charming decor of the cottage. It had a warm and inviting atmosphere, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The common areas were also well-designed and easily accessible for us seniors. The furniture was comfortable and there were plenty of seating options available. It made us feel right at home.
For a better vacation experience for seniors, I would have appreciated more assistance from the staff. It would have been helpful if there were more organized activities or excursions specifically tailored to our age group.

We had an amazing time at these cozy cottages with fabulous views! the check-in process was simple, and the location was perfect, with beautiful views of the distant sea, rolling fields with Icelandic horses, and tall mountains. the cottages were lovely, clean, and had everything we needed. the spacious interior was modern, cozy, and functional, providing a nice view of the surrounding mountains. We also enjoyed the peaceful and calm surroundings, away from the city and light pollution.
The nearest shop for groceries is quite far away, around 30-40km, so it's important to stock up before reaching the cottages.

The decor of the cottage was absolutely charming, with cozy furnishings that made me feel right at home. The general areas of the hotel were also well-maintained and beautifully decorated, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. As a senior woman, I truly appreciated the accessibility of the hotel. The pathways were well-paved and easy to navigate, and there were handrails in the common areas to provide extra support. It was a relief to know that I could move around the hotel comfortably and safely.
I would ask for a better vacation experience for senior people if there were more staff available to assist with certain tasks. Sometimes, the children working there seemed a bit overwhelmed and it would have been helpful to have more assistance when needed.

This place was absolutely amazing! the cottages were spacious, modern, and well-equipped with everything we needed. the scenic views of the mountains were breathtaking, and we loved how quiet and peaceful the location was. We also enjoyed the fact that the kitchen had all the necessary amenities, including a cooker, microwave, and dishwasher. our weekend stay here was nothing short of fantastic, and we would definitely consider coming back in the future.
the wood paneling in the cottages wasn't to our liking, as we preferred a different aesthetic. the shower floor felt a bit flimsy and it was difficult to find a comfortable water temperature.
